Who You Talk To
Ponhap Garage Doors does not have staff who visit homes. When you reach out, you talk with an independent provider in our network. That person runs or works for a local garage door business. They do the work, or they send someone who does.
What They Will Ask You
Expect a few simple questions. Have the answers ready.
- What is the door doing? Stuck, loud, crooked, slow?
- Did you hear a bang? Is a spring visibly split?
- How old is the door and the opener?
- Is the door open or closed right now?
- Are you locked out of the garage, or is a car trapped inside?
A photo of the door and the label on the opener can speed things up.
Questions to Ask a Provider
Good questions get you good answers. Try these.
- Can I get a quote in writing before work starts? A good provider says yes. A red flag is a vague number that changes at the door.
- Does the price include parts and labor? You want clear answers, not a shrug.
- Will you check track alignment and balance? A careful provider looks at the whole door, not just one part.
- Who will come, and when? Many providers can respond quickly. Ask for a time window, not a promise.
- What happens if the fix does not hold? Ask about their warranty terms and get them in writing.
Watch for pressure. If someone insists you must replace the whole door on the spot, take a breath. Ask why. Get a second quote if you can.
The Decision Is Yours
A provider can explain the problem and the price. You decide. You can say yes, say no or ask for time. Keep the written quote either way.
